Background
DGI, LLC is the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that maintains B.R.I.D.G.E. TO DATA®. As background, today's efforts originated as the International Drug Benefit-Risk Handbooks, which were initially developed as part of the Risk Assessment of Drugs - Analysis & Response (RAD-AR) project, started by Ciba-Geigy International. These handbooks, which contained short, structured monograph outlines of database characteristics that could be utilized to estimate exposure and/or risk of drugs, were later ceded to International Medical Benefit-Risk Foundation (IMBRF) in Geneva. Upon cessation of activities by the IMBRF in 1995, Dr. Judith K. Jones, Executive Director and Chief Editor, received the responsibility of continuing these efforts. This led to the incorporation of DGI, LLC as a non-profit organization. DGI developed a subsequent online subscription version, BRIDGE On-LineSM, which was available from 2000 to 2003. This site was later completely revamped and re-launched in November 2009 in its current format.
